Fronius USA Backs the National Solar Tour
(07.26.2007)
115,000 Expected to Attend in 46 States
In order to support sustainable energy
education, Fronius USA is a sponsor of this year's 12th annual ASES
National Solar Tour. Over 115,000 people are expected to attend home and
building tours organized as part of the National Solar Tour this fall.
Traditionally tied to the first weekend in October, this year 46 states
are anticipated to host solar tours throughout September and October.
A complete list of scheduled events may be found at
www.NationalSolarTour.org.
Not only will the solar tours demonstrate many
passive and active solar technologies available today, but educational
tools will be available to teach participants how to cut their energy
bills with improved building techniques and appliance efficiency.
The tours are focused on real installations, giving neighbors an
opportunity see, explore, and ask questions about the real world
applications of renewable energy. By focusing on this “close to
home” education, the mystery of using solar and wind technology to
power homes and cars is erased, along with barriers to implementation
and ownership.
Fronius USA added its support for the educational
goals of the National Solar Tour.
“As the producer of lightweight, energy
efficient, solar inverters designed specifically for use in grid-tie
systems, Fronius USA is dedicated to long-term implementation of
renewable energy systems, even to the point of offering standard
ten-year warranties on our inverters,” said Gord Petroski, Director of
Sales, Marketing and Engineering for Fronius USA. “This
long-term outlook of both organizations made our sponsorship a natural
fit. We will continue to lend our support to the ASES National
Solar Tour to raise awareness of the methods and technologies households
and businesses can employ to reduce carbon emissions and move the U.S.
toward energy independence.”
“On behalf of the American Solar Energy Society
and its Chapters, hundreds of organizations and thousands of volunteers,
home and building owners participating on the National Solar Tour, we
thank Fronius USA for their continued financial support,” stated
Michael DiGrazia, manager of the ASES National Solar Tour.
“Fronius USA has been a tremendous supporter of this program for this
third consecutive year, helping ASES to raise awareness and move the
U.S. toward a sustainable energy economy.”
